Fall is on its way, which I love. I’m just so not ready for what shortly follows.

Bought/wore my first pair of sandals since September or October. Had to since I forgot a change of shoes and definitely wasn’t about to wear my snow boots all day. As soon as this closed-toed shoe weather is over, I’m getting a pedicure. My feet deserve it.

See there is an upside to winter. ;)

Anyone else ever noticed the similarities between driving during a snow storm and warp speed from Star Trek? Anyone? No? Just me? Ok.

Well, I made it! I’m home. A little damp from falling and making my own path because my apartment complex’s snow blower apparently went on strike or maybe took a sick day. Or maybe our maintenance men really are lazy and don’t feel the need to follow local laws which say sidewalks need to remain clear. Either way, I am so thankful for the snow boots my family got me for Christmas.

The boyfriend made some homemade queso with ground beef, time to dig in. :) Tomorrow I have off! I’m so excited to have a day with some freshly fallen snow and how instantly beautiful it makes everything.

i’m pretty sure i experienced multiple concussions and soft tissue damage over the course of the weekend.

Everybody pines for summer during winter and bitches about winter until spring.  When spring roles around and the vitamin D starts kicking back in to your brain you nucking go futs and start humping like rabbits.  Then summer rolls around and the heat and sunlight are like MDMA snorted through your ephemeral artery and you pine for the darkness, cold and the snow.  Fall comes around and you get nostalgic and yearn for the days of yesteryear, like when you started the 4th grade and got to change classes like the big kids.

Basically, everyone needs to shut up, most of the winter complaints come from some balmy ass place.  No one up here complains about the -20ºF daily.  They only complain when it gets freakishly cold, like, -40ºF RANDOMLY AFTER a -14ºF DAY.

I love winter. I’m just shocked by the temperatures here in Minneapolis because, well …… I’M FROM SOUTH FLORIDA! And this is my first winter here so I might as well be living in Alaska because even the warmer days are still freezing cold to me. I hope I always find ways to enjoy winter, it’s so beautiful and the fashion is fun. There definitely is plenty to do other than sit at home and feel sorry for yourself. But damn it’s cold.
