I never realized there is a distinct difference between California and Florida oranges before moving to Minneapolis. I could only find Cali ones, which suck in comparison.

SERIOUSLY! I left Florida because of weather like this.*
While being from Florida helps me deal with it better, in no way doesn’t it make me dislike it any less. In fact, it almost makes me dislike it even more. And it’s just going to continue the rest of the week.

*Ok, truthfully we all know that wasn’t the real reason, but it was definitely a factor/bonus.

Stuart anglers land 23-foot giant squid

At about 11:30 a.m., Asaro spotted a large mass in the water, and when the three anglers motored in to investigate they discovered a 23-foot-long, 200-pound giant squid floating dead but extremely well-preserved.

By Monday afternoon the squid had been transported to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in Tequesta, where it was analyzed briefly and then turned over to a team from the University of Florida for further study, said Carli Segelson, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman.

That is so cool! Also, just about the only thing exciting to happen in Stuart, Florida. Ever.

Poor Palmer. (Yes, we named our Palm Tree.)

When we went to Florida I left him outside bc it was supposed to rain in Minnesota. It did not. Instead he got burned and dry. Poor guy.

So I trimmed all his crispy parts. But he has plenty of new shoots sprouting! So we will wait for him to get large and unruly again so we can split him into two planters.

I won’t be complaining anytime soon.
