A young humpback whale was caught in some fishermen’s nets and these folks took on the task of freeing it.
You’ll need some tissues when you see what happened after the whale was freed.

At about 11:30 a.m., Asaro spotted a large mass in the water, and when the three anglers motored in to investigate they discovered a 23-foot-long, 200-pound giant squid floating dead but extremely well-preserved.
By Monday afternoon the squid had been transported to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in Tequesta, where it was analyzed briefly and then turned over to a team from the University of Florida for further study, said Carli Segelson, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman.
That is so cool! Also, just about the only thing exciting to happen in Stuart, Florida. Ever.
