Lifetime has a new reality series, “Coming Home,” in which deployed soldiers return home and surprise family members.
The very first time I saw the commercial for it, the little girl pictured above broke my heart and I just started bawling.I composed myself and then they sneaked that guy in there too and it started all over again.
I can’t even imagine what the immediate families of those deployed go through. Jayson’s brother was of the first to cross into the Iraq border and my heart breaks whenever he hints to me what he went through, what they all went through, while his brother was away.
It shouldn’t surprise you that this series comes from those of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Basically you’re insured a cry-fest.
