This is all true. I ran my nerd flag high up a flagpole, and Liz was right there to salute. I never watched Deep Space Nine when it was on the air, seeing it as sort of the Star Trek equivalent of a weight station on the side of Interstate 5, but having loved Battlestar and hearing Liz’s…impassioned defense of the series (and a few others around the same time) I’m willing to give it a shot.

I grew-up on both. Even today my dad and I watched Dr. Who together.
It’s easy to recognize where exactly my nerdom came from.
